According to the "Gaoyou Prefecture Annals", in 223 BC, King Ying Zheng of Qin "built a high platform and set up a postal pavilion" here, hence the name Gaoyou, also known as Qin Post. The postal pavilion is not only an institution for conveying government orders and managing postal communication affairs, but also a small administrative unit in the local area. It is a ten mile long pavilion with a pavilion director in charge of tax collection, corv é d'affaires, and thief detection related affairs. At the same time, it is also a hotel building. The establishment of Qin Post Pavilion has brought about the development and prosperity of Gaoyou for over 2000 years, and has extremely high historical research value. In 1997, the government of Gaoyou City rebuilt the Qinyou Pavilion on the canal embankment next to Yucheng Post, with pink walls, black tiles, double eaves and upturned corners. It has 3 stone pillars at each corner, for a total of 12. The pavilion is open on all sides, with a stone tablet about three meters high inside. The front is inscribed with the three big characters "Qin Post Pavilion", and the back is engraved with the inscription "Reconstruction of Qin Post Pavilion Stele". The inscription on the Qin Post Pavilion stele is inscribed with Mr. Zhu Yanqing's account of the unforgettable history of the Qin king (Ying Zheng) setting up a post pavilion on the ancient Hangou River.
